Rich Underwood directs Qualcomm WirelessLife.Com Trilogy

Qualcomm's "Wireless Life" trilogy is set to premier on-line in April 2008. On location at the San Diego Children's Museum. Production Designer Jeff Gonka (VanMark Scenic) set the stage to look like an international airport terminal. I'm making a point about something, it seems to be important.

Richard Crudo, ASC Reviews Roll!

© American Cinematographer
Richard Crudo, ASC Cinematographer, Past President of the ASC

"Rich Underwood’s book is the first comprehensive study of a subject that has been shrouded in mystery for too long. I’ve always felt there’s a real art to shooting news and documentary-style productions; finally someone has come along and proven it. Practical advice and insights from working professionals are mixed with technical information in an easily readable style. I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in the subject, even if they’re only shooting home movies!"

Digital Filmmaker reviews Roll!

This is an excellent handbook for anyone interested in what many of us call, “the business.” It instructs without being pedantic. The clear illustrations make sense without being too technical. I call “Roll!” an indispensable work. - Ron Steinman

Solace II is Still Afloat

When I first moved to California, I lived aboard Solace II. A 58 ft British Channel Cutter christened on March 1901 in the Watty shipyard in Fowey, Cornwall. The yacht belonged to H. Glen Walker, LCDR USN (Ret.) who kindly allowed me to spend the summer nestled in the ancient timbers that lined her cabin.
Solace II is now owned by a family back in Cornwall where she was born. The Solace II story continues on their website http://www.solace2.net/
